Here are the rules for our first (hopefully annual) MLB March Madness Book Bracket!
IMPORTANT: If you want to receive March Madness Book Bracket emails you must either vote or click here! We will not SPAM you with the March Madness Book Bracket emails unless you opt in.
Prizes:
All participants who cast a vote in any round will be entered in a drawing to win a $10 online gift code*.
Four winners will be announced with each round of play. Winners will be notified via email
One Grand Prize Winner will be announced with the final bracket winner on April 3rd -
winner will recieve a $25 online gift code* & a free copy of a paperback book of their choice from the Sweet 16 list.
All books that make it in the Sweet 16 will be 10% off the cover price.
All books in the Elite Eight and Final 4 will be 15% off the cover price.
The winning book will be available to purchase for 7 days after the final vote at 20% off the purchase price!

RULES OF PLAY!
This is for fun, there is no money being exchanged and the battles are won through votes.

Starting today you can VOTE HERE and enter your 8 favorite books you read that were released in 2022 or as of 3/15/2023 in Hardcover OR Paperback.
Unsure of the release date? Look up the book here to find the published date.
You can only vote once in each round, your second vote will be eliminated.

Voting for round 1 is open 3/16/23 to midnight 3/20/23.

Cast your vote for your top 8 favorite books published in 2022 or through March 15 2023. (Hardcover or paperback)

When voting closes, MLB will tally the top 16 books and pair them against each other based on category and our magic formula (bahahah!).

Look for an email and social media posts on March 21st announcing the Sweet 16 Bracket matchups and the link to cast your vote. Send your favorite book in the matchup to the Elite Eight!

Voting for the Elite Eight will close March 26th at midnight.

Look for an email and social media posts on March 27th announcing the winners of the Elite Eight matchups that will move on to the Final Four!

Voting for the Final Four Matchups will be open March 27th through March 31st.

The winners of the Final Four Matchups will be announced April 1st via social media and email and will include link to vote on the 2023 March Madness Battle of the Books by Mystery Lovers Bookshop Champion!

Voting will close at midnight on April 3rd.
