Description:
Daniel Sempere, who we first met in Zafon’s The Shadow of the Wind, makes a third appearance in The Prisoner of Heaven which opens in 1957 Barcelona where Daniel and his wife have just had a child. In the midst of joy comes terror as a mysterious stranger threatens to reveal secrets and Daniel must revisit the bitter days of the 1940’s and Franco’s dictatorship.
