Meanwhile, his parole officer, Rachel Lopez, is losing her fight with her own demons in the form of alcohol and casual sex just at the point when Lorenzo needs her most. Nobody does the down-and-dirty crime novel better than Pelecanos and Drama City is the latest proof.
