Dear %%First Name%%,
This week's special is the lastest in a popular series with a cat sleuth. You can enjoy this week's special at a savings of 20% plus free shipping.
We've compiled our July Best Seller list and it shows an interesting assortment of books that our customers are reading. Topping the list are signed books: The Mist by Carla Neggers and The Fixer Upper by Mary Kay Andrews. Interestingly, the former was a virtual signing where the author sent us signed books and announced their availability to her email list. Other hardcover best sellers included popular authors including James Lee Burke and Daniel Silva among others.
In paperbacks, The Goodbye Cousins topped the list--a second book by a local author while The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson continued its torrid sales. Face Time and Prime Time by Hank Phillippi Ryan continued to top the mass market list due largely to a virtual signing and the author's promotion.
Take a look at our July Best Sellers, we're sure you'll find just the right book (or books) for your next order.
There are three titles that were unintentionally omitted from the recently published August issue of the MLB News.
Sand Sharks by Margaret Maron--if you're a fan of the Deborah Knott series you won't want to miss this latest installment
Paths of the Air by Alys Clare--the eleventh in this popular Hawkenlye medieval series featuring Abbess Helewise and Joss D'Acquin
No Law in the Land by Michael Jecks--another great historical mystery series featuring bailiff Simon Puttock and his friend Sir Baldwin Furnshill, this is the 26th.
The August-September issue of the MLB News is available for download. The printed version of the News goes in the mail today but you can download it right now from the website and view it on screen or print it.
OK, here's a question: what do Stockholm, Atlanta, Chicago and rural Kentucky have in common? They're all settings for books in our August Staff Picks. If you're about to leave on vacation our Staff Picks are a perfect way to find some new authors to take with you.
We're starting up our Fall Coffee & Crime series with Chicago crime writer Marcus Sakey, a rising young star in the genre. Sakey will be here with his fourth novel, The Amateurs.
We've got some signed books that are either here or coming in the next few weeks. Quantities are limited so place your order now.
