The return of the prodigal Staff Pick

We're happy to announce that our adorable mascot Staff Pick has returned to MLB after taking off the month of May. Evidently, all the fuss surrounding the Festival of Mystery and the other major events of the month scared him (or her) away until the dust settled.

But now the June Staff Picks are here and you can treat yourself to a list of recommended reads from our booksellers.

You know, it often surpirses folks that we have actual booksellers who read books at MLB. We've become accustomed to "booksellers" whose prior job involved folding sweaters at the mall. Not so at Mystery Lovers Bookshop. Anytime you're stumped for something to read don't hesitate to drop us an email telling us the sort of books you like and we'll be happy to make recommendations.

Meanwhile, check out our June Staff Picks to get started.

Merry month of May

May was an excellent month at MLB. We started with the Festival of Mystery which was a huge success. Even more customers than last year came to meet our 40 authors and sales were up nearly 15% from last year.

The Festival was followed by outstanding events with Lisa Scottoline and Diane Mott Davidson and wrapped up with a sell-out event with Michael Connelly and George Pelecanos.
