Dear %%First Name%%,
We're going in a slightly different direction with This Week's Special, a young adult novel set in Pittsburgh during WW II that views the homefront and the war through the eyes of an eleven year old girl. Check out This Week's Special and save 20%.
What a spectacular Festival of Mystery we had last Monday. Over 300 fans met with 50 authors and bought books at the rate of about 5 a minute. Sales were up 25% from last year's very successful Festival and many of the purchases were the first in a series--good news for future sales for those authors.
Out thanks to all of you who came and made the Festival a success and especially to the many volunteers without whom the Festival would simply not be possible.
The winners of the 2008 Agatha Awards were announced last weekend at Malice Domestic. You'll find a complete listing of Winners and Nominees on our site.
We congratulate all the winners and nominees and especially Hank Ryan Phillippi who recently attended our Little Night of Romance and Donna Andrews who just visited us for the Festival. Hank's debut Face Time was a Best First Novel winner while Donna won with her short story A Rat's Tale.
The April Best Sellers have been compiled and we've got an interesting assortment of books in all genres as a result of the Little Night of Romance, The Festival of Mystery, author appearances and book clubs.
You'll find the complete list in our April Best Sellers
Michael Chabon, Dean Koontz, Kerry Greenwood and Barbara Cleverly are among the authors you'll find in our new arrivals in the past weeks. Check back next week, too, as we expect a pretty large number of May books to arrive early in the week.
You'll find the complete list at New Arrivals.
