Dear %%First Name%%,
You're in for a treat with This Week's Special as we take 20% off the latest in Donna Andrews' hilarious Meg Lanslow series, The Penguin Who Knew Too Much. Even better, we've arranged for signed copies from the author. This Week's Special won't last long so get you're order in now.
No surprises when it comes to the hardcover best seller at MLB for the month of July: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows reigned supreme. The rest of the list for July Best Sellers at MLB was less predictable with thrillers, cozies, historicals and even a book where the sheep solve the crime.
Why not check our July Best Sellers list to see if you can find something new to read this weekend.
Moving from what you're reading to what we're reading brings us the August Staff Picks. Why not take a look at our bedside table where you'll find thrillers, humor, children's books and more that we particularly enjoy.
Plenty of New Arrivals with many August titles including books by Faye Kellerman, Margaret Frazer, Dick Francis, Alexander McCall Smith and many others.
Most of you who bought Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have no doubt already read it, perhaps twice but we're still listening to the unabridged audio so don't tell me anything that happens. Incidentally, the unabridged audios of Harry Potter are highly recommended by us. We've listened to all seven (well, six and a half, anyway) and the readings by actor Jim Dale are simply superb with individual voices for every character--he's done over 200 during the course of the series.
Pictures from the party are available on the Harry Potter Party page.
August 26 - Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer
September - Coffee & Crime with Alison Gaylin
Happy reading during the lazy days of summer,
Richard, Mary Alice and the MLB Staff
