The May Best Sellers at MLB reflect a fully loaded 12th Festival of Mystery and the sales from those 52 authors and other jam packed events. The Festival bestselling author was Elaine Viets and we hope the sales have helped in her swift recovery. Local Pittsburgh authors also benefited in sales from the bookroom we did for the Pennwriters Convention.

Donna Leon, virtuoso author of the splendid Venetian mysteries with Guido Brunetti, will be at MLB on Monday, May 18. Tickets are still available for her talk and signing to be held at St. Ireneaus Hall around the corner from the store. More details on the Donna Leon event page.

Kathryn Miller Haines launch party

We'll be celebrating on Friday, June 22 starting at 7 pm as Pittsburgh author Kathryn Miller Haines launches her debut book, The War Against Miss Winter. This charming mystery is set in New York during WW II and features a struggling actress who becomes a sort of accidental PI.
