Rita Mae Brown - 20th Anniversary Blowout
Wednesday April 4, 2012
Talk and Signing , starting at 7 pm at the Oakmont Library
New York Times best selling author Rita Mae Brown will join us on Wednesday, April 4 at 7 pm for a talk and signing at the Oakmont Carnegie Library.
Rita Mae Brown and her feline partner, Sneaky Pie Brown, return with a new mystery starring Mary Minor "Harry" Haristeen, the sleuthing cats Mrs. Murphy and Pewter, and corgi Tee Tucker. But are they any match for a killer who's made an entire town suspect in the latest mystery, The Big Cat Nap. This latest book is the 20th in the series so please join us in this 20th Anniversary celebration for Sneaky Pie and Rita Mae.
Rita Mae's appearance will be a benefit in conjunction with Animal Friends, the no-kill animal shelter. Ticket proceeds will be donated to Animal Friends and we'll also hold a raffle of animal-themed mysteries with proceeds donated to them. Animal Friends will also be bringing an assortment of cats, dogs and rabbits available for adoption.
The event will be held in the community room on the lower level of the Oakont Carnegie Library, located at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave. and Allegheny River Boulevard, 3 blocks from Mystery Lovers Bookshop. You can enter at ground level on the Pennsylvania Ave. side of the building.
You can purchase tickets online. For multiple ticket purchases you can adjust the quantity in the shopping cart before you check out.
