A Summertime Thriller Chiller at 7 pm (the popsicles are on us)
Cool off with some chilling thrillers plus popsicles as we welcome Tess Gerritsen and Lisa Gardner to Mystery Lovers Bookshop for a talk and signing on Friday, July 16 at 7 pm.
 Tess Gerritsen is the pediatrician-turned-novelist who is the author of the best-selling series featuring Boston medical examiner Maura Isles and homicide detective Jane Rizzoli. Tess will be here with the ninth in the series, Ice Cold.
In Ice Cold Maura is attending a conference out West. Taking a break with a ski trip. she and her companions become trapped in a town that is eerily empty. Next thing, Jane Rizzoli receives news that Maura's charred body has been found in the mountains.
The Maura Isles series begins with The Surgeon. Gerritsen is also the author of four earlier standalone medical thrillers including one set aboard the international space station.
 Lisa Gardner makes her first visit to MLB with Live to Tell, the fourth in her series with Boston homicide detective D.D. Warren. That series began with Alone, an absorbing thriller that begins with a SWAT team sniper who believes that he was tricked into murder. Gardner's best-selling career began with The Pefect Husband, a nail-biting chiller about about a women who discovers that the perfect husband she has married is in reality a serial killer.
Whether you're looking for a summer chiller to take to the beach or a winter warmup to dispel the blues, both of these authors offer hours of entertaining reading.
