Talk and Signing , starting at 7 pm at the Oakmont Carnegie Library
 We're very pleased to announce that award-winning author Jacqueline Winspear will return to MLB for a talk and signing of her sixth Maisie Dobbs novel, Among the Mad, at the Oakmont Carnegie Library on Friday, March 6 at 7 pm.
Winspear burst upon the mystery scene in 2003 with Maisie Dobbs, an Agatha winner and nominee for both the Edgar and Anthony awards. This tale of a young woman who starts a PI business in England following WW I captivated readers who gobbled up the subsequent titles in the series.
In addition to an entertaining story, Winspear packs these books with fascinating history about the effects of the War on British society and particularly the role of women. She'll share her knowledge of the period with the audience at her talk, which you're sure to find compelling.
Author talk will be held at the Oakmont Carnegie Library at Allegheny River Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue, three blocks from the store.
