Coffee & Crime breakfast, starting at 10 am
Leighton Gage will continue our Winter Coffee & Crime Series with his debut novel, Blood of the Wicked.
Gage's book introduces the character of Mario Silva, Chief Inspector for Criminal Matters in the Brazilian Federal Police. His job takes him to a small, rural town where a prominent bishop has been assassinated.
It soon becomes apparent that the murder is deeply involved with issues of land distribution and Gage works the political issues facing Brazil into a smoothly drawn plot that keeps the pages turning while you find yourself educated about current conditions in that country.
The Coffee & Crime breakfast begins at 10 am and includes a continental breakfast along with talk and signing by the author. Cost is $5 and reservations are necessary.
You can purchase tickets online. For multiple ticket purchases you can adjust the quantity in the shopping cart before you check out.
