About Book Clubs

We presently sponsor six book clubs that meet regularly at Mystery Lovers Bookshop. Most are open to any interested mystery reader and we offer lunch or dinner as an option for anyone attending.

Have your book club meeting in our store

We also invite existing bookclubs to have a meeting in our store. We would be happy to suggest an appropriate mystery for that months meeting. We can provide lunch or dinner with your meeting along with a talk on a mystery topic. Please give us a call if you are interested.

Based on our experience with reading groups, we've compiled some suggestions for a successful book club; we hope you find them helpful.

Buy your book club books at MLB

We'd love to be the supplier of books to your book club. If you're like many book clubs that pick six months or a year's worth of books we'd be happy to order the correct number of each title and we'll give you a 20% discount as well. Movie Night for Your Book Club

Monday Mystery Lovers

The Monday Mystery Book Club meets at 6:30 on the second Monday of each month. An optional dinner is served. The club is open to anyone with an interest in mystery books.

Second Thursday Book Club

The Thursday Mystery Book Club meets at 6:30 on the second Thursday of each month. An optional dinner is served. The club is open to anyone with an interest in mystery books.

Friday Noon Discussion Group

The Friday Noon Discussion Group meets at noon on the last Friday of each month. An optional dessert is served. The club is open to anyone with an interest in mystery.

History Mystery Book Club

The History Mystery Book Club meets at 7 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. No dinner or dessert is served. The club is open to anyone with an interest in historical mystery.

The Eclectic Book Club

As the name implies, the Eclectic Book Club reads a variety of books from mystery to science fiction to literature. Regular meetings are on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 with an optional dinner served.

Women Lawyers Mystery Book Club

The Women Lawyers Mystery Book Club meets at 6:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. A dinner is served. The club is open to any woman attorney with an interest in mysteries.
